This floor lamp assumes a modern and elegant air with its trumpet-shaped, multi-colored fabric shade and segmented brass finial. While working on the Wormser bedroom, Urban was also designing interiors for the Chicago mansion of investment banker Melvin R. Emerich. Leo Wormser and his business client Emerich approached Urban jointly about taking on their respective projects. Urban used an identical floor lamp in the Emerich residence with a shade of plain silk.
